- There are several categories of fonts. Serif (with feet) and san serif (without feet) fonts are the most common. Popular serif fonts include Times New Roman and Garamond. Popular san serif fonts include Arial and Helvetica. Fonts may also be considered decorative, meaning they have a more unique look than standard serif or san serif fonts. Examples of decorative fonts include Papyrus and Playbill.
- To uninstall a font, navigate to your computer's Fonts folder. Select the font you wish to uninstall and select File>Delete.
Warnings
- Downloading files from the Internet can place your computer in danger of attack by viruses or malware. Protect your computer by making sure its anti-virus software is up to date before you download any font files.
