Apply Lipstick in Adobe Photoshop
Photo manipulation is a common trick used by graphic artists. Let's say you've just taken a picture of a woman who isn't wearing any makeup. If you'd like to add a bit of lipstick, here's an easy way to do it using Adobe Photoshop.
Steps
- Open an appropriate image.
- Zoom in the lip area and select Brush Tool. Use a soft-edged brush with 100 percent black and set a brush smaller than the lip. Create new layer and press Q to open Quick Mask mode.
- Paint over the lips. You'll notice that the paint area will appear to be translucent red. After you've finished, click Q again to Leave Quick Mask mode. The lips will now be surrounded with a selection marquee.
- Open Solid color and select your lipstick color.
- Reduce color opacity to make the lipstick color more transparent. This will make it look more natural and realistic.
- Use Eraser Tool to erase the area you don't need.
- Finished.
