Convert Video in MP3 with VLC Media Player

To extract an audio track from a video file is not necessary that you possess high computer skills. There are many free programs that allow, in a few steps to convert a video to MP3 easily and quickly.

Steps

1. Download a free media player like VLC Media Player. The setup file is about 20 MB and is compatible with Windows, Linux and Mac.
2. After downloading VLC you will proceed with the setup program that takes a few moments and is very easy to accomplish.
3. Launch VLC Media Player by clicking on the program icon.
4. Open the video file you want to extract the audio track.
5. Click on "Media" in the navigation bar of VLC Media Player, and then click Convert / Save.
6. Choose the source of the file to be selected: hard disk, network, or optical media.
7. Press "Add" to add the file to extract the audio.
8. You are now ready to start converting the file. Just click on the Convert / Save at the bottom of the dialog box.
9. This opens a new window where you can choose the destination where you will save the file and extract audio format conversion such as MP3, Ogg or Wmv.
10. Click on the "Start" button to start the process of converting video files. A progress bar displays the progress of the extraction process.
11. Once completed you will find the audio file in the destination folder of your choice above. The file is ready to be played by any player.
