Create a Stencil from a Picture Using Microsoft Word
Stenciling is fairly simple. It requires few and inexpensive materials, and is a great form of art.
Steps
- Find an image that you'd like to make into a stencil.
- Copy and paste it into Microsoft Word.
- Use the image toolbar to change the image to black and white and enlarge accordingly
- Make sure there aren't that many little islands (isolated white spots), otherwise you'll have to remember where they go and it'll be pretty annoying.
- Print the stencil and trace it onto the tracing paper, or simply trace it directly off the computer screen.
- Cut out the stencil, and trace it onto the cardboard.
- Cut the stencil out of the cardboard, and use an appropriate paint to stencil the picture onto T-shirts, other clothing, walls, etc.
Warnings
- No graffiti unless you're Banksy.
