Crop and Re Size Photos at the Same Time Using Adobe Photoshop 7
Whether you're adding an image gallery to your web site or creating a family photo album from digital photos, chances are you've probably had a desire to resize and crop your photos. Learn how you can do both at the same time in simple, easy steps!
Steps
- Switch to the Zoom Tool by pressing "Z" on your keyboard.
- Right click on your image and select the "Fit On Screen" option.
- Press "C" on your keyboard to switch to the Crop Tool.
- Enter in the desired dimensions of your final result on the top toolbar. For example, you may enter in a width of 240px and a height of 180px.
- On your image, draw a box around the object you would like to keep in the photo. You will not be able to adjust the height and width separately, as these automatically adjust based on the dimensions you entered above in the previous step.
- Press "Enter" on your keyboard to have Photoshop automatically crop and resize your photo.
Tips
- Once you have drawn your box, you can adjust the size by using the small squares in the corner. You can also move your box by clicking on its interior and dragging it.
