Decide What to Wear in the Morning

Do you ever wake up in the morning and just don't know what you want to wear? A few simple tips will leave you with a knockout outfit every day.

Steps

  1. Decide what mood you are in. The night before, you might feel like wearing a slinky dress and super-high heels, but you might be too tired in the morning to carry on all day with painful shoes and a skin-tight outfit. If you're happy and active, wear something flirtatious, classy, and springy, like a belted floral A-line skirt over a brightly colored beater and sandals. If you're tired and sleepy, wear your favorite comfortable oversized hoodie with yoga pants and flip-flops or skinny jeans and converse sneaks.
  2. Know your body. Every item in your outfit should flatter you. Prepare for this in advance by making sure your entire wardrobe fits you well, so it is easy to choose outfits. If you do not want to attract attention to your midsection, but you want to show off your legs, wear a flowy top and cinch your waist with a high-waisted short. However, if you want to show off your midsection but hide your legs, wear a tight one-shouldered top with wide leg jeans.
  3. Make sure you have timeless clothing items and basics in your closet. You should probably have all the rainbow colors of tees, v-neck shirts, long sleeve tees, and tank tops. As for bottoms, you should always have a classic jean skirt, light and dark flare jeans, and light and dark skinny jeans. With dresses, the little black dress is never out of style, and a signature long dress is a good idea. Flip-flops, sneakers, a boot, and a black heel is a shoe supply, and one necklace that matches everything is your best accessory.
  4. Make sure you wear an outfit suitable for that day. If it's a bright and sunny day, don't wear a chunky sweater. You probably shouldn't wear a tank top in winter either. Although make sure that if you're working at an office, you shouldn't wear anything inappropriate or revealing. Even a small slit in a skirt can turn heads in the workplace. Unless you know exactly what is going on that day, you should probably make sure you have items with you that will go with your outfit and situation perfectly.
  5. Be yourself. Straying away from your personal style might raise some eyebrows, so make sure you stick to what you would wear. It’s perfectly fine to change your look, just do it gradually, to avoid being accused of wearing a costume. However, being yourself doesn't mean you shouldn't take risks; risks set you apart from being boring and being spontaneously fashionable.

Tips

  • On the contrary, a burst of color in your seemingly drab outfit will go far. If you aren't satisfied with your monotonous outfit, kick it up with some brightly colored shoes.
  • Black is a flattering color on everyone. If you're leaning away from wearing a brightly colored outfit, a black blouse and jeans looks good on everyone.
  • Leggings are a great way to play around with dressing up or dressing down. Wear black leggings with an oversized purple hoodie to look comfortable, and then wear a one-shouldered tank top under. A simple outfit from day to night can transform by just removing the hoodie.
  • Accessories can always camouflage your routine outfit. If you are afraid of getting caught wearing the same tee-with-jean combo, add a cute scarf or big chunky necklace to make it seem like it’s a one-of-a-kind outfit.
  • Don't worry about wearing the clothes everyone else is wearing. Wear what you what to wear.

Warnings

  • White shirts can sometimes be see-through and show your bra. In addition, while black is slimming, white often does the opposite.
  • If you feel uncomfortable wearing an outfit, do not wear it. You're not going to show any confidence if you aren't confident with the way you look.
  • If you're wearing your favorite outfit, make sure that you don't eat anything messy.
  • Use caution with high heels. Heels, although cute, will be a regret if you're not used to wearing them.
  • Don't double-pattern an outfit. Two patterns in one outfit is nothing but tacky and crazy.
