Draw a Gun
If you want to draw a machine gun, sniper rifle, or a pistol, you're in luck - it's easy to draw most basic types of guns, including these. With a little practice (and these instructions to guide you), you'll be drawing these deadly weapons with bullseye accuracy in no time. All you'll need is some paper and a pencil!
Steps
Sniper
- Document yourself, search the net or in magazines, print some photos with guns so you have a good idea and have some reference points.
- Draw a āVā upside down, these will be the bipod of the sniper rifle.
- Continue with a guideline, on top of the bipod(V) draw a horizontal slope line.
- Using the guideline start adding shapes: like squares, rectangles, cubes lines etc. These will be the base shape of the sniper rifle.
- Refine the drawing lines.
- Erase extra lines.
- Add details on the sniper rifle shape.
- Put some color and see how it looks.
Pistol
- For the pistol barrel start with a (long) rectangular.
- Continue with the pistol grip and trigger.
- Outline the shape by tracing around the first 2 steps.
- Add details on the finished shape, like you see in the image attached.
- Draw the grip with details, do the barrel design and the trigger.
- Erase all the guidelines and refine the drawing.
- Color it if you like, put some shading and light.
Machine Gun
- On your paper draw a horizontal rectangle, inside will fit the machine gun.
- Put some delimited lines inside. For reference see the image attached.
- Try to sketch the basic shape of the machine gun using the guidelines.
- Continue with the details, line up the barrel, draw the grip, add the trigger.
- Add the charger. Draw two curved line in front of the trigger, connect them at the bottom.
- Erase all the guidelines.
- Color the drawing, use some brown or green, your choice.
Tips
