Eat a Plum in Two Bites
At first glance, it might not appear too challenging to eat an entire plum in two bites. If your mouth is especially big, you may even be able to handle the whole fruit in one bite. However, there is one problem: the pit (or stone). This article will show you how to work around this difficulty, enabling you to perform this rude but entertaining trick.

Steps
- Choose the right Cook Plums. The variety of plum is not nearly as important as its softness. You want it to give just a little when you press on it; it should feel like it's soft on the outside, and hard on the inside.
- Place both thumbs inside the indent where the stem used to be. The thumbnails should be facing each other, and the gap between them should align with the indented line that goes around the plum.
- Pull the plum apart. If you get the right plum, you should be able to split the plum into halves, with the pit staying in one half. If your plum is too soft, you will just squirt juice everywhere. If it's too hard, the skin will peel off.
- Remove the pit, and enjoy your plum, one half at a time.
- Clean up any mess you might have made. Plum juice is sticky.
Tips
- It is important that you get a plum that is just ripe, and the pit is intact. Of course, there is no way to tell about the pit without first cutting into your plum, and that defeats the purpose of the trick.
- Do this over a sink, or a paper towel, or a trash can, or somewhere else you do not mind getting plum juice on.
Warnings
- While this trick should make some people laugh, be careful which people you use it around. Taking large bites can be considered rude and impolite.
- Be careful not to choke! This trick puts the performer at risk of choking; especially if he/she puts the whole plum in his/her mouth at the same time. Don't do this trick if nobody is around to help you if you do start to choke.
