Erase a Background in Photoshop Elements 7

Quick and easy steps to erasing unwanted parts of an image such as the background.

Note: The background is an orange color so that it is more noticeable for you to see the changes made.

Steps

1. Open PSE7.
2. File-open the image you would like to edit.
3. Select tool-Quick select.
4. Drag the quick select tool all over the part you want to erase.
5. Eraser tool-Background eraser.
6. Go to the top where it says Brush and adjust the diameter to about 94px.
7. Go back to your image and paint in the selected area with your background eraser tool.
8. Go to the top and click select-deselect.
9. Click file-save as and you're done!
10. If you are not happy with the end result, keep using the background eraser tool and adjust the diameter to a smaller size so that you can edit out what you still do not want.
