Find Face Shapes Scientifically

It's all very well outlining yourself in a mirror, but did you know you could scientifically find your real face shape? Indeed this is the case, and this article will tell you how to do it!

Steps

  1. Measure your face across the top of your cheekbones. Write down the measurement.
  2. Measure across your jaw line from the widest point to the widest point. Write down the measurement.
  3. Measure across your forehead at the widest point. Write down the measurement.
  4. Measure from your hairline to your chin.
  5. Check to see which face shape applies to you:
    • Oval Face - The length is equal to one and a half times width.
    • Round Face - Your face is as wide as it is long, give or take a small amount.
    • Oblong Face - Your face is longer than it is wide.
    • Heart Shaped Face - Your face is narrow at jaw line, wide at cheekbones and/or forehead.
    • Square Face - Your face is about as wide as it is long, give or take a small amount, but your jawline is sharper than that of a round face.
    • Diamond Face - Your face is widest at the cheekbones, with narrow forehead and jaw line of approximately equal widths.
