Fix a Bad Haircut Without Going Back to the Salon
You keep trying to fluff your hair in the rear view mirror on the way home from the salon. "It doesn't look that great..." You think, and when you get home and take a good look in the mirror, you confirm: "I got a bad haircut." What to do?
Steps
- First decide what you don't like about your haircut. Is it too short? Not short enough? Not even what you told the hairdresser to do?
- Straighten your hair if your hair is cut too short. With this method your hair will appear longer. Try method when you have curly or wavy hair.
- Rewash your hair if you don't like your hair after a visit to the salon. After you washed it you can restyle it yourself to the way your like.
- Curl or crimp your hair. If you want your hair to be shorter you can curl or crimp it. This will take some of the length off of it.
- Cut your own hair. This is rather risky but it may make your hair look better if it's a simple cut.
- Be patient. Wash your hair, give it a couple of days. Soon you'll be used to it and it'll look like normal.
Tips
- If you're getting a haircut for school or some occasion, make sure you get it done at least a week before you have to go there. This will give you time to get used to the haircut and figure out how to make it work.
