Get Rid of Very Dry Knees from Shaving
If you're getting scaly skin on your knees from shaving your legs, these may be just the tips you need.
Steps
- Soap your knees with liquid soap before shaving.
- Shave in the direction your hair is going so it won't hurt and won't be rough. The final stroke must go against the flow of your hair so as to get all the hair.
- After Shaving, but still in shower, apply more soap to skin, and rub firmly.
- After shaving, apply moisturizing lotion. Recommended: Johnson's baby lotion, Johnson's baby oil, anything Body Butter, anything 'moisturizing...'
Tips
- Make sure razor blades are new or close.
- Apply jojoba oil to knees. It is nature's best moisturizing lotion. It absorbs quickly and will not feel greasy.
- Use aloe instead of soap, or a similar moisturizing shaving cream; it will moisturize your skin sufficiently.
- If you have a lot of skin on your knee, bend the knee, so that you won't cut yourself.
- During cold, dry weather, your skin may need a break! Unless you work a job that requires you to wear a skirt every single day, it may be better to give damaged skin a little time to recover before returning to a shaving regime.
