Windows 8 offers many improvements over past versions of Windows, among them speed and smoothness of use. Steps

Obtaining a preview version of Windows 8

  1. Try out Windows 8 or Windows 8.1 for free, by using this trial version.
  2. Go to windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/preview
  3. Download an ISO file from that page.
  4. Insert a recordable CD or DVD into your disc burner.
  5. Click “Start” and then click “Computer.
  6. Find the ISO file and double click it.
  7. Click the Windows Disc Image Burner.
  8. Select “Verify disc after burning.
  9. Click Burn to burn the disc.

Obtaining a copy of Windows 8 if you are a student

  2. Complete all the details of your school and location.
  3. Be aware that there may be restrictions, and that there may be a small price.

Upgrading to Windows 8 with a product key
