Get a Random Event on RuneScape

The point of a random event is to catch out botters, this is why people doing the same thing over and over again are more likely to get a random event. Random events can become very helpful if you are in desperate need of money, but can also be dangerous. But this, random event is a good one. Read on to know how to get a random event in RuneScape® by Jagex Ltd.

Steps

Burying Bones in the Barbarian Village

  1. Go to the Barbarian Village located west of Varrock, climb down the hole
  2. Go to the Minotaurs on the first level (lvl. 12). Or you can go to the goblins. Goblins recommended for lower levels.
  3. Kill 1 and collect its bones.
  4. Wait about 15 minutes, and bury a bone. There is a chance that you will get a random event.
    • You will need to wait about 15 minutes until you can try it again.
  5. Repeat if desired.

Going Fishing in Karamja

  1. Go to Karamja. It will cost 30 gold to board the ship. The ship is located at Port Sarim by Draynor.
  2. Go fishing at the dock by the Plantation. Catch a lot of fish. You can sell them periodically to the general store south of the docks. (This method gives you a good amount of money and Fishing exp, also.)
  3. Wait. Eventually, you'll trigger a Random Event.
    • Once you complete this random event, it's best to go back to Lumbridge and work on other skills for a while before you try again. If you practice cooking in the Castle, there's a better chance of triggering another event.

Cutting Down Trees

  1. RuneScape is full of different types of trees. You can find them anywhere, and everywhere.
  2. Hatchets are definitely needed during this process. You can go anywhere around RuneScape, Draynor Village is the best place (willows) for random events - as well as other places with Willow Trees.
  3. Cut down any type of trees you can. You need to be a certain level, such as 1-15 (Normal Trees), 15+ (Oak Trees), 30+ (Willow Trees), 60+ (Yew Trees) Members 75+ (magic trees) 82+ (cursed magic trees "After spirit of summer")
  4. You can continue to practice cutting down trees, for a Random Event. It is common, but not always does it work! You also get your WoodCutting level up.

Killing Skeletons in Karamja

  1. Complete the Complete the Demon Slayer Quest in RuneScape.
  2. Head to Karamja via ship from Port Sarim.
  3. Enter the volcano, which is north from the docks.
  4. Climb down the rope, walk towards the Deadly Red Spiders, and walk through the wall.
  5. Run past the demons and level 45 skeletons until you reach the other rope, which leads to Crandor Isle, but DO NOT CLIMB IT.
  6. Kill the level 25 skeletons. Every 30 minutes, a random event will occur. However, you must keep killing, and not say a word.

Tips

  • Always have some food in your inventory to make sure that you don't die.
  • Buy fishing equipment a few levels higher than what you use before you go to Karamja; when you use Method 2 your fishing levels will likely skyrocket.
  • Random events can take place when you teleport to Varrock, or any other place. It's most likely going to be the teleportation matrix.
  • Try burying your own bones. If you're just there to get random events or are a low level, there are two rats in the northern part of the minotaur area by the fence.

Warnings

  • Don't ignore the Sandwich Lady, she'll whack you with her sandwich tray and you'll wake up in some random place in RuneScape. Usually next to the white mountain near Black Knights Fortress or Falador
  • Don't talk to other frogs while meeting the Prince/Princess. Only speak with Frog Herald for your instructions, after that, ONLY speak to the princess/prince itself. Talking to other frogs that DON'T have a crown, will make the prince/princess mad - booting you to a random place in RuneScape.
  • If anyone tells you, "You'll need like 10 range", it's a myth. Random events only happen randomly, but mostly happen if you practice any skill. But just remember, its RANDOM!

Things You'll Need

  • RuneScape Account
  • Certain Level, (Higher than 7) for Method 1.
