Hunt for Rattlesnakes

If you are an outdoors kind of person who loves the occasional adrenaline rush, try going on a rattlesnake hunt. Obviously, this is a dangerous activity because these snakes are venomous. Try your best to leave the snakes be and only take photographs as they serve an integral part of the ecosystem.

Steps

  1. Obtain the proper supplies. These include: snake boots, snake hook, and camera.
  2. Find a snake den. Snake dens are mostly found in dry areas covered with large rocks. They can also be found in piles of wood or tree limbs.
  3. Look in and around the entrance to the den. This is where most snakes will bask. If some of the snakes appear to be dehydrated, bring some water and pour it on the ground near the snakes, you might get a chance to see how snakes drink.
  4. Maneuver yourself so you can get the best angle possible for your photograph.
    • While behind the snake, you should use the snake hook to move any brush aside that might be obscuring the photograph.
    • If you can't clear the brush, you can try moving the snake, but of course this is actually more dangerous, it can also be more rewarding. Make sure you use the snake hook, or some sticks. And be aware of your surroundings.
  5. Repeat this process until you have attained your perfect photograph.
