Jump Start a Car With a Battery Booster

This article explains how to to jump start a car using a battery booster.

Steps

Turn off the ignition of the vehicle (heater, lighting, etc.) before using the booster.
If you use an SOS 12/24V Booster, verify that the tension selector is disconnected before connecting the clamps.
Connect the red clamp (+) to the positive terminal (+)of the battery.
Then connect the blue clamp (-) to the negative terminal (-) of the battery.
Select the adequate tension if you have an SOS 12/24V booster.
Start attempt of maximum 8-10 seconds. Then wait for a further 3 minutes before attempting to start again.
Disconnect. Having started the engine, first disconnect the tension selector if you have an SOS 12/24V booster.
First, disconnect the blue (-) clamp, followed by the red (+) clamp.
Store. Return the cables and clamps to their support posts on the Booster.
Recharge. Recharge the booster immediately after use.

Wear eye protection and gloves.
Never connect the Booster on a vehicle 24V when it is in 12V position.
The clamps MUST never touch a metallic surface.
Crank the engine for a maximum 10 seconds and wait for 3 minutes between further attempts to restart the vehicle.
The Booster must be put on charge after use.
Verify the selected tension of the Booster and the tension of the vehicle to be started.
