Few steps to make and a few rules to follow are enough to keep transmission from knocking.
Steps
- ALWAYS do the periodic services on time.
- The transmission oil should be changed when it's time to be changed, by the covered mileage or the passed time since the last oil change "the mileage and time to change the oil differs from vehicle to another so you should ask your local dealer for these information"
- The gear shifts should be timed perfectly taking into consideration engine's RPM and vehicle's speed.
- Avoid sudden acceleration or deceleration, cause this is an unusual process for the transmission.
