Here is an easy recipe for a delicious peanut sauce that goes great with any oriental meal or pasta. Best of all, you can make it from scratch without leaving home or breaking the bank!
Contents
Ingredients
- a fresh container of creamy peanut butter (preferably an organic or natural brand
- peanut butter
- soy sauce
- brown sugar
- a lime
- 1 cup water
Steps
- Pour a cup of water in a saucepan. Put the water on the stove and heat it up to a near boil, but not a full rolling boil.
- Take the water off the stove and start spooning peanut butter into the water. Stir thoroughly after each spoonful.
- Continue dumping peanut butter and stirring. You may need to use many spoonfuls and lots of good stirring in order to get it to a good “saucy” texture. Add as much peanut butter as necessary to reach desired consistency. (Not too thin, not too thick).
- Once you have a nice peanut butter sauce, add one tablespoon of soy sauce and mix.
- Then add one tablespoon of teriyaki sauce and stir.
- Next, take one fourth of a fresh lime and squeeze the juice (as much as you can) into the sauce.
- Then sprinkle some brown sugar (as much as you feel fit) and mix.
- Once this is all done, you may want to taste your sauce and then decide if you want to add more of any of the ingredients. Add ingredients to your liking, do this until perfection.
- Finished.
Tips
- Served best with spaghetti noodles. Pour the sauce onto spaghetti, mix, and serve.
