Make Face Masks out of Fruit

Want a quick fix to boost your sagging and lusterless skin, why don't you try a facial mask? It deep cleanses, stimulates and refines and also extracts impurities from the pores, leaving you with a radiant complexion. If you're hardworking with time to spare or afraid to use those Chemical based facial masks, you can create a simple mask from the stuff in your kitchen.

Steps

Apple Mask

  1. Half an apple, peeled and sliced.
  2. Add one tablespoon of honey, one egg yolk, a dash of vinegar and two tablespoons of oil (you can use extra virgin olive oil or coconut oil).
  3. Blend all the ingredients until it's smooth.
  4. Apply the paste on your face, neck and leave to dry.
  5. Then wash with lukewarm water.

Tomato Mask

  1. For oily skin, Mash up a ripe tomato and leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes.
  2. Rinse with lukewarm water.

Watermelon mask

  1. Take a quarter cup of watermelon- removed from the rind.
  2. Mash the fruit till it's smooth.
  3. It should have the consistency of an applesauce.
  4. Clean your face and spread the mixture on your face.
  5. If the mixture is too soft and dripping, place a wet piece of gauze or cloth over the mask to to keep it in place.
  6. Rinse well with cool water and pat dry.

Strawberry mask

  1. Mash three large strawberries and apply the pulp as a mask and leave it for 10 minutes.
  2. Wash it with rose water.
  3. Strawberries are slightly acidic and contain vitamin C.
  4. It leaves the skin sparkling and luminous.

Egg creamy facial mask

  1. Beat 2 egg yolks, 2 tablespoons of glycerin and 1 tablespoon of cream well.
  2. Apply to face.
  3. Leave on for 20 minutes to soothe the skin.

Avocado mask

  1. Mash the pulp of the avocado into a creamy texture.
  2. Apply it thoroughly on the face and leave it for 15-20 minutes.
  3. Rinse with warm water, then cold water to close the pores.

Grapefruit mask

  1. Beat one egg white till it's fluffy.
  2. Add 1 teaspoon of sour cream and 1 teaspoon of grapefruit juice and blend well.
  3. Apply to face for 15 minutes.
  4. Rinse with warm water.

Orange mask

  1. Mix 2 tablespoon of orange juice with some milk and dab it on the face with cotton.
  2. It helps for a smoother and softer skin.

Banana mask

  1. Mash up a ripe banana.
  2. Add enough honey to make a paste out of it.
  3. Apply over your face.
  4. Your face will be as smooth as porcelain.

Honey mask

  1. Apply pure honey or bottled honey straight to your face and neck.
  2. Allow it to set until dry. It will take up to 15 or 20 minutes.
  3. Rinse off with warm water.
  4. Then gently pat dry.

Garlic mask

  1. Apply this lotion for 15 minutes everyday for pimple free skin.
  2. Mince 1 garlic clove with 2 tablespoon of honey.
  3. Use immediately and do not save the remains.

Alternatively for Garlic mask

  1. You can simply rub a smashed clove of garlic on a pimple!

Lemon mask

  1. Mix 2 tablespoons of sour cream, 1 teaspoon of finely ground of oatmeal.
  2. Add 1 teaspoon of fresh lemon juice.
  3. Massage the concoction over a clean face and neck for 10 minutes and rest with cucumber slices on your eyes.
  4. Rinse well with warm water and follow with toner and moisturizer.
  5. Use this mask immediately after preparation since lemon juice can cause the sour cream to curdle.

Warnings

  • Makes sure you conduct a patch test on your arm before applying the mask on the face to avoid allergy or any side effects.
