Make Fruit Puree

Generally on the age of 6-8 months babies get solid food. By giving them fruit puree you are preparing them for the solid food that they get later.You can buy store bought purees but its always better to make the fruit purée by yourself, its much healthier for your baby and cheaper for you! In this article you can find some easy recipes for making the purees.

Steps

Banana-apple puree

Ingredients:

  • 1 ripe apple
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 cookie for kids (grain cookie)
  • Orange juice (optional)
  1. Peel the apple. Remove the core and rasp the apple into a bowl.
  2. Peel the banana. Cut the banana into small pieces with a knife and puree it with a fork until it smooth.
  3. Mix both the apple and the banana until the mixture is smooth.
    • You can add some orange juice to it for extra flavour but this isn't necessary.
    • To make the puree thicker you can add a cookie for kids usually a grain cookie.

Melon-apricot puree

Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe apricots
  • 1 ripe melon
  • 1 cookie for kids (grain cookie)
  1. Remove the pit out of the apricots and cut the apricots into pieces.
  2. Remove the pits of the melon. Peel the melon and remove the pits out of it.
  3. Puree both in a bowl while using a fork.

Peach puree

Ingredients:

  • Overripe peach
  • 1 cookie for kids (grain cookie)
  1. Peel the peach.
  2. Remove the pit.
  3. Cut the peach into pieces.
  4. Puree the peach with a knife into a bowl.
    • To make the puree thicker you can add a cookie for kids usually a grain cookie.

Kiwi puree

Ingredients:

  • Half ripe kiwi
  • 1 cookie for kids (grain cookie)
  1. Peal the kiwi.
  2. Cut it into pieces.
  3. Puree the kiwi with a fork until the mixture is smooth.
    • To make the puree thicker you can add a cookie for kids usually a grain cookie.
