- Stir 1 cup boiling water into the bowl filled with the gelatin mixture.
- Mix the water in the bowl until the gelatin is completely dissolved. This usually takes about 2 minutes.
- Blend in with the dissolved gelatin 1 cup of cold water.
- Refrigerate the Jell-O mixture until firm. This may take approximately 4 hours.

Tips
- For a speedier process, stir 3/4 cups boiling water instead of an initial 1 cup; Blend 1/2 cup cold water instead of an initial 1 cup and at the same time add ice cubes to help the gelatin thicken faster; Refrigerate for 30 minutes to 1 1/2 hours or until firm.
