Make Lemon Balm Tea
Lemon balm tea is an excellent refreshing summer tea that is easily made from fresh lemon balm growing in the garden. This article explains how you can make it at home.
Ingredients
- Three to four sprays of fresh lemon balm leaves, or 1 oz of dried lemon balm leaves; be sure to use organic leaves (not chemically sprayed)
- 1 pint/ 475 ml boiling water
Steps
- Infuse the leaves in the boiling water for up to 10 minutes.
- Strain and pour. Add a sprig of fresh leaves if wished.
- Sweeten if desired. Add honey or lemon juice to sweeten as wished.
Tips
- Allow to cool for a fresh summer drink; add ice cubes for iced lemon balm tea.
- Add a slice of cut lemon for an increased lemon flavour.
