Make Oven French Toast
Here's an easy way to make French toast for a large group of people. Firm bread slices are cooked in melted margarine, scented with spicy cinnamon, and given a citrus flavor with a dash of orange juice.

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons margarine
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup orange juice, you don't have to use orange juice
- 1 teaspoon grated orange rind, if desired
- 8 slices firm bread
Steps
- Preheat oven to {{safesubst:#invoke:convert|convert}}.
- Melt margarine in two 9-inch square baking pans.
- Sprinkle sugar and cinnamon over margarine.
- Mix eggs, salt, orange juice and orange rind, if used.
- Dip each side of bread into mixture.
- Place close together in prepared pan.
- Bake for 15 minutes.
- Turn and bake 5 minutes more or until desired doneness.
- Finished.
Tips
- French toast may also be cooked on a griddle or frying pan. Sprinkle cinnamon and sugar on the cooked French toast, if cooking on the range.
