Make Tattoo Ink from Ashes

Making ink from ashes is old school, and although it works, it's not the best way for ink.

Steps

  1. Try to find an alternative. Though this works, it's not 100% safe!
  2. Get a clean bowl that is fireproof.
  3. Get clean white paper (biodegradable is best)
  4. Burn the paper in the bowl and collect the ash (make sure there is no wind)
    • You will have to burn a lot of paper to get enough ink for a simple tattoo.
  5. Add water and mix with the ash (this is tricky - you have to use equal parts to make an ink water-like, but still thick enough to stick to your pin).
  6. Dip the pin in your ink like a quill, and tattoo.

Tips

  • Ash isn't the best thing to use.
  • Ash from burned wood works better and is a more natural alternative.

Warnings

  • NEVER use old or pre-used pins! Always use a clean, new one and replace it after 10 minutes of use.
  • Find someone who knows what they are doing to teach you before you start. Self tattoos can be harmful.
