Make Tree Stump Planters

Here's a practical way to make use of tree stumps - convert them into planters!

Steps

  1. Go out in the woods and find your tree stump.
  2. Look through the options. If you're lucky you'll find a dead tree trunk that has a large hole on it. You always have the option of drilling a hole in a tree trunk.
  3. Tilt the tree up.
  4. Find a plastic container or can to put inside the hole. This will hold your plant of your choice.
    • Another option is stuff it with styrofoam.
  5. Fill the container/hole up with soil. this is so the plant will grow in the tree stump.
  6. Place your plants in the hole.
    • This works with or without a pot.
  7. Put your natural planters in your garden. Not only does this look good and natural, but you're literally giving life to a dead tree. Awesome!
