Make Your Hair Look Big
Want your hair to look like the late 50's early 60's style? Like in the movie "Hairspray"? With a little extra time in the morning, that perfect 'do can be yours! Read on after the jump to learn how.
Steps
- Wash your hair. Use a volumizing shampoo, preferably. Use conditioner and let it sink in for 2 minutes before rinsing very well.
- Completely untangle your hair. Do NOT use a brush, use a wide-tooth comb to untangle, then a fine-tooth comb to get rid of small tangles.
- Dry your hair a bit, then flip your head down (like looking between your knees) and dry the roots. Work your way down, keeping the dryer at least 5" away from your scalp.
- Back comb your hair. If you have bangs, leave them. If not, start at your hairline and comb back with the wide tooth comb. Then, use the fine tooth comb and comb back and up. Lift the fine tooth come up and back as you come section by section.
- Keep your hair going back. Use hairspray once you have reached the desired amount of height.
- Look in the mirror and see if you like it.
- Finished.
Warnings
- Careful not to burn your skin.
- Let the hair dryer cool down for 3 minutes every 15 minutes of use to avoid a house fire. Unplug it when you do.
