Make Your Perfume Scent Last

Any scent will leave your personal mark, unique and inimitable. To make your perfume scent last longer, here are some suggestions.

Steps

  1. Choose the "hot" areas of your body. Perfume scent is stimulated by warm skin. The best areas are the neck, cleavage, areas where the veins are closest to the skin's surface such as the pulse of the hand and neck, the upper fold of the elbow, the back of the knee or behind the ear. Freshly washed hair will carry a scent for up to a week.
    • Since aromatic essences are highly volatile, they tend to rise in the air, therefore, a great trick is spraying perfume around the waist.
  2. Apply successive layers of fragrance in various forms for the best scent reach. For example: Wash with scented shower gel, use scented deodorant, apply the perfume extract base, and 30 minutes after the first application of perfume, add water to strengthen and extend the effect of the scent's duration.
    • Buy a neutral-smelling body lotion and add 3-4 drops of your favorite flavor. This provides another form of care for the application layers.
  3. Take care not to overdo it though. We know that we tend to easily get used to the scent, so, we can sometimes put on too much just to be able to smell it and this is overwhelming for others.
  4. Keep the Nozzle at-least six inches from your body. To get the best out of scent or perfume it is recommended to keep the nozzle {{safesubst:#invoke:convert|convert}} away from the skin(where you want to apply it) and then spray.

Tips

  • In winter, when air is dry and cold, strong and powerful fragrances are recommended, and for the warm months, a light summer fragrance with aromas of fresh herbs, citrus and flowers.
  • When it's cold and you are wearing a jersey/jacket, spray the jacket to so it doesn't cover up the smell you sprayed on your top!
  • The rule of thumb should be: in the morning and at noon match light fragrances, floral, fresh and green. In the afternoon, those are much more multi-floral or fruity can be used. At dusk and at cocktail hour, you can use a romantic and sensual style.
  • Have a perfume for the "evening" or "special occasions": for the theater, opera, weddings and other special events.
  • Have a perfume for the different occasions: for work, shopping, engaging in sports, even outdoor parties.

Warnings

  • IMPORTANT! After you remove the scent on purchase, do not discard the box! Perfume should be kept in its box, otherwise, it gets exposed in daylight and the sun oxidizes it and it loses its scent!
  • Don't use one perfume over another, unless you want to smell like a perfume department.
