Steps

  1. Open the desired picture. Then, duplicate the background layer by going to Layer > Duplicate layer. Alternatively, this can be done by dragging the background layer to the second-to-last icon on your layers panel.

    • Freeze the parts of your picture that you don’t want to be touched by the Liquify tool. Use the Freeze Mask tool and brush the parts that you want to freeze. Use the Thaw Mask tool if you accidentally freeze an area you want to change
    • Use the pucker tool to edit the picture. For our example, the waist of this model was edited.
  3. Continue to use the Liquify tool until your picture has reached the desired effect.
  4. Use the Pen tool. Copy the shape or silhouette of the edited picture.
  5. On your paths panel, Ctrl + click the path to make the selection. Also save the path by double clicking the layer on your paths panel.
  6. Copy the original image by typing in Ctrl + C.
  7. Paste the copied image on your edited picture by typing in Ctrl + V. You can also repeat the previous steps on the legs or the lower body part of your picture.
