Make a Car from a Matchbox

This toy car is made using an empty matchbox.

Steps

  1. Find an empty matchbox.
  2. Stick an eraser on the top of the matchbox. This will work as the car's roof and interior area.
  3. Use bottle caps for the wheels. Stick on the bottle caps.
  4. Open the matchbox. Make sure it has space for keeping things in (see "Tips").
  5. Paint the matchbox and eraser in your favourite colour. Paint the wheels in black.
  6. Draw windows and doors for the car. Enjoy!

Tips

  • Keep luggage or cargo inside by opening the matchbox.
  • Run the car on floors and soil.
  • Add a 1-2 dowels for axles if you don't need/want the back space.
