Make a Creek Jump

Want to get some air and then get wet? Here's how to build a creek jump.

Steps

  1. Get some friends to help you. You will need plenty of help especially for transportation of materials, plus you can get the job done a lot quicker. And once it's finished you will have a lot more fun using your new creation with friends.
  2. Round up many logs/pieces of wood that are sturdy and strong. Types of wood you can use:
    • Oak
    • Ash
    • Hickory
    • Maple
  3. Grab your shovel and start to dig.
  4. Put the dirt on top of the logs and compact it.
  5. Wet the dirt a little bit then let it dry.
  6. Push your bike up the jump to make sure it's strong enough to jump.
  7. Get some speed and hit it.

Tips

  • It's best to build after it's rained, so the dirt is soft to dig up and be sure the wood is dry!
  • It helps if the logs aren't square

Warnings

  • Creek jumps can be unpredictable, so be careful.
  • Wear proper safety gear (Helmet, knee pads etc..)
