Things You'll Need
- Bright blue sports bra
- {{safesubst:#invoke:convert|convert}} of bright blue satin fabric
- Plain bright blue track pants to match the sports bra
- Big gold earrings
- Big gold necklace
- Long black wig
- Blue headband
- Fake gold diamond ( you can get this at the dollar store in the craft section)
- Glue
- Sewing machine
Steps
- Starting with a blue sports bra, cut off the straps. Jasmine's straps sit just off her shoulders.
- Measure out some blue fabric, which you can find at a local fabric store. This fabric will become the sleeves. After you cut a strip, cut another, and sew the two together to increase the thickness. Then, on the front of the sports bra, sew it as seen in the picture above. Now sew it on to the back of the sports bra. This should now look like Jasmine's sleeve. Repeat this process for the opposite side.
- If you want to add detail, try sewing gold colored lace to the neckline of the sports bra.
- Track pants, matching the blue from the sports bra, can be used as Jasmine's bottoms. The track pants should be plain.
Making the crown
- Glue a golden gem onto the middle of a blue headband to recreate her crown.
Preparing the wig
- Mimicking the picture, pull the wig hair into a ponytail. Be gentle with the wig hair.
- Notice that Jasmine's hair is big in the front. When you put on Jasmine's wig, stuff tissue into the wig cap.
- Put the crown on over the wig before putting a matching set of earrings and a necklace on.
Tips
- Measure the material for the straps correctly to avoid awkward wrinkles in the straps.
- For a make-up tutorial and wig handling tips, find Michelle Phan's Princess Jasmine make-up tutorial on YouTube.
- The earrings and necklace can be found at Claire's, Charlotte Russe, Forever 21, or Kohl's. Essentially any store with jewelry will work.
