Make a Frozen Piña Colada
There are many recipes but this is virtually the same one that won the 1972 Piña Colada championship in Puerto Rico. Enjoy!
Ingredients
- 3 oz. (90 ml) coconut cream
- 6 oz. (180 mL) pineapple juice
- 1.5 oz (45 mL) heavy cream (one and a half)
- 2 oz (60 mL) rum
- 2 cups of crushed ice
Steps
- Put 2 cups of crushed ice into your blender. Blend at high speed to eliminate big chunks of ice.
- Put all ingredients in blender
- Blend at max speed for about 15 seconds or until mix becomes thick.
- Pour into hurricane glass (or any glass you have).
- Garnish with pineapple slice or cherry.
- Add a straw.
- Finished.
Warnings
- Do not blend for a long time. The mix may become too loose to be called a "frozen" Piña Colada.
