Make a Very Simple Tomato Soup

Okay. So you want to start doing some cooking? Eating some real/Healthy food. Soups are an easy, Simple, basic recipe to start with.

Ingredients

  • 6 decent sized tomatoes
  • Basil/General mixed herbs
  • A Tablespoon of butter
  • Water

Steps

  1. Heat the butter on a medium heat of gas mark four in a saucepan
  2. Prick all the tomatoes several times and add to the butter
  3. Heat the tomatoes until soft
  4. Add 350ml of water and Bring to the boil (gas mark 6)
  5. Once boiling, add 2 tbsp mixed herbs or basil (Finely chopped or big chunks, depends how you like it.)
  6. Sieve the tomatoes out of the water, which should now be an orange-red colour.
  7. Finished.

Tips

  • To make the soup more tasty, add a tbsp of white wine vinegar and a bit of salt, maybe some carrot or celery

  • Always eat a healthy, balanced diet
  • Try not to burn yourself

  • A wooden spoon/ something to mix ingredients in the pan

  • A sieve
  • A knife
  • Bowls for the soup
