Melt Feta Cheese

Feta cheese is yummy is all forms, but sometimes you've got a recipe that calls for melted feta. This article shows you how to easily melt feta.

Steps

  1. Prepare a 'double boiler.' If you do not have one, add a clean jar, such as a jelly jar, in a pot of water. Do not start boiling your water yet.
  2. Crumble your feta. Use small, but not tiny chunks.
  3. Add a small amount of preferably full milk to your jar and drop in your feta. You can use skim or 2% if you prefer.
  4. Now turn your stove on to medium heat and allow water to boil.
  5. As it heats up, stir it constantly.
  6. Now you've got a feta cheese sauce!
  7. Add a little cornstarch to thicken, or add water to thin it out.
  8. Finished.

Tips

  • The feta will disintegrate more than melt.
  • Keep an eye out as to not burn yourself or your sauce.
