Not Be Sweaty After Riding a Bike to Work
So, you're keeping fit and saving money by using a bike instead of boarding public transport and everything's going swimmingly; then boom! Sweat. It's dripping through your hair and down to your lower vertebrae. Your suit sticks to your skin like cling-film; your skin's as shiny as a stainless-steel electric cooker. You think to yourself "I can't look that bad..." through exasperated "huffs" and "puffs" as you chain your bike in its' allocated area with a bike lock. You stagger into the office, attempting to conceal your pants; then you notice the attractive new receptionist behind the desk. You muster a smile; then they recoil in horror at the mere sweaty sight of you, and you feel a small part of you dying and shriveling up inside.
Don't let this happen to you; stay fresh and clean with this how-to...
Steps
- Take a shower every morning! Use antibacterial soap and antiperspirant deodorant; it's designed to prevent body odor.
- Go to work earlier than you usually do. You can cool yourself down before work starts.
- Ride slower. Slower movement = less sweat.
- Take sips of icy water whilst you ride. It'll keep you cool.
- Bring a change of clothes if necessary. Get changed in the toilet stalls.
- If your workplace has a gym, use the showers once you arrive at work if you need to.
Warnings
- Don't ride too slowly or too quickly; you can tire yourself out if you go too quickly or obstruct drivers if you're too slow.
