Pack for a Beach Holiday
Packing for a beach holiday can be hard, as so many things are crucial, and you can't forget your sunscreen!
Steps
- Think about how long you are staying for and how quickly you change your clothes.
- Always take as many tops as you would normally wear in the time period you are staying for, and one more, in case you spill something down one.
- If you think it will be rainy on some days, try to pack at least one pair of cotton three-quarter trousers. These dry quite quickly if wet and are comfortable.
- Try to pack at least one pair of shorts that aren't denim, to use for going in the sea, and always bring a pair of shorts you don't care about for a trip to the beach, because sometimes people will go in the water wearing regular clothing.
- If you are a woman, find a swimming costume/bikini that you feel confident in. If you are self conscious about your bum, try short style bottoms. Always wear detail on the part that you want to draw attention to. If you do not like your boobs, don't wear a detailed bikini top!
- Write a list of things you are going to take, and set them aside at least a week before hand, so you do not wear them.
- Imagine yourself on the beach. What things do you need? Sunscreen is crucial, and make sure you pack enough beach towels, and a windbreak if you think you will need it.
- If you think you have your period, or just to be ready, tampons are vital. Pads will make you feel sticky on the beach, and you won't be able to go into the water unless you are wearing a tampon. If you are planning well in advance, and you have time to try a tampon before you go, do, but NEVER try them when you are not menstruating. Always read the instructions carefully.
- Think about where you are staying, do you have to pack food, or money for food?
- Take enough money that you think you will need, but never take too much, especially if you are in a foreign country.
- Always make sure than any paperwork is up to date well before you book your holiday, and make sure that everyone's passport is in date. If you are bringing your paperwork along on the vacation, put them in a plastic bag to avoid rain damage
- In your makeup bag you should take, translucent pressed powder, mascara, 1 or 2 eye shadows if your planning a meal out, blusher. Don't take foundation or concealer as your skin tone will change.
Tips
- Bring a backpack or medium bag for beach necessities
- To save room, take your beach bag as your hand luggage bag.
- For any vacation, roll your clothing to save room.
- You should put items with more weight at the bottom of your bag as to not crush other items.
- Put any shampoos or conditioners in plastic bags so they don't leak on clothing.
