Play Game Boy Advance Games on an Android Tablet

An article about how to play Game Boy Advance games on you're Android Tablet. If you've wanted to play old Game Boy Advance games on you're tablet then this is how.

Steps

  1. Go onto your Android Internet browser.
  2. Type in "4Shared" onto the search bar.
  3. Once on 4Shared type in "Gameboid".
  4. You should get a list of them, click anyone there.
  5. You should see a timer counting down when it reaches zero your download should be there.
  6. When you've downloaded it, go back onto 4shared and type in "gba bios.bin or gba bios.zip" which is required to play any game (Repeat step 4-5).
  7. Open up Gameboid and it should say something like "open bios.bin".
  8. It should give you an option to open your folder, so do that and open file "SD card" then open "downloads" and a file bios.bin should be there, press that.
  9. It should now say "No ROM Loaded. Press menu for more options" at the bottom of the screen it should say "Load ROM" and "Search ROM" if you already downloaded a GBA ROM then press "Load ROM" and then go into SD card and downloads again and it should be there.
  10. If you don't have one press "search ROM" and then type the name of game and select GBA it should give you a list of available ROMS click one to download and there you go (Repeat step 9).
  11. You should now be able to play any GBA game for free on your tablet.

Tips

  • "Start" "Select" and the directional buttons are already on screen.
  • It's the full version for free as most paid things on 4shared are free.
  • Seems as the tablet has no keys to press A or B go into settings then key settings and press A and B and put the short-cut as Volume up and volume down and make what ever the short cut for volume up and down were as nothing (press clear).

Warnings

  • Most ROMS are illegal to download if you don't own a copy of the game. So read up on it beforehand.
