Read Normal Playing Cards for Romance

Many people love to have their fortunes read, especially when it comes to romance and love. While this is commonly done using a Tarot deck, read on to learn a few ways to do this using a standard deck of playing cards.

Steps

One Love Interest

  1. Ask the person to shuffle the cards and concentrate on someone they have romantic interest in.
  2. Deal the cards into four equal piles.
  3. Go through each pile until you spot either the ace of hearts, the ace of spades, the queen of hearts, or the jack of spades. These cards represent the heart (ace) and head (face card) of the person being read (hearts), and their love interest (spades).
  4. Discard the cards that were on top of the pile, above the special card. It is possible that a pile may have none of the special cards in it, in which case discard the entire pile.
  5. Collect the piles from left to right and re deal into three piles.
  6. Repeat the process of going through each pile and discarding any cards above the special cards.
  7. Collect the piles from left to right again and re deal into two piles.
  8. Repeat the process of going through each pile and discarding any cards above the special cards.
  9. Collect the remaining cards and deal into a circular shape.
  10. Interpret the results.
    • If you end with only the four special cards, this union will be a lasting one with minor conflict as the heads and hearts of the two people are in tandem.
    • If the ace of hearts is next to the queen of hearts, the person being read knows what they want.
    • If the ace of spades is next to the jack of spades, the romantic interest knows what they want.
    • If the ace of hearts is next to the ace of spades, the couple will have an emotional relationship, but not a physical one.
    • If the queen of hearts is next to the jack of spades, the couple will have a physical relationship but not necessarily an emotional one.
    • If other face cards show up next to the face card of the person being read or the love interest, this represents a physical relationship (or want for one) with others besides the people in question. If it is a face card of the same "sex" (ex. a queen next to a queen) this may also mean a close friend may be involved in some way to the situation.
    • If other aces show up next to the aces of the person being read or the love interest, this represents an emotional tie (or want for one) with others besides the people in question.
    • When number cards come up, this represents issues in the relationship. If a number of cards in the same suit appear, this represents different sides of the same issue, meaning the people involved may see things differently.

Four Love Interests

  1. Remove the kings (or queens depending on who is being read) from the deck and place in a line in front of you.
  2. Ask the person being read to assign a person they know of the opposite gender to each of the kings.
  3. Ask the person to think of a question that can be answered by the name of one of the kings. For example, "Which person will I go to the prom with?" or, "Which person loves me?"
  4. Shuffle the remaining deck.
  5. Deal the cards, face up, under each of the 4 cards until a card matches the suit it is placed under (i.e. a heart appears under the King of Hearts). The person assigned to that king is the answer to your question.
