Say Happy Easter in Greek
Here is how to say Easter phrases in Greek.
Steps
- Say "Happy Easter" before Easter. Greeks don't actually say "Happy Easter" at Easter time. Instead, they say it before Easter time. It is written Καλό Πάσχα (Kaló Páscha), and pronounced KA-lo PAS-kha.
- Say "Christ has resurrected." This is what Greeks say over Easter. It is written Χριστός Ανέστη (Christos Anesti), and pronounced khree-STOHSS ah-NES-tee.
- Answer when someone says "Christ has resurrected." You can say one of two things:
- "Truly, He is risen," written αληθως Ανέστη (Alithos Anesti), and pronounced ah-lee-THOHSS ah-NES-tee.
- "True is the Lord," written Αληθινος ο Κυριος (Alithinos o Kyrios), and pronounced ah-lee-thee-NOHSS o KEE-ree-yohss.
