- First you want to pick out a pair of cleats that you like. Pick a good brand that you like and will wear.
- Figure out the size. Your cleats should be tight. Not so tight that they hurt your feet, but they should be close fitting. If your cleats are too big then you could have a hard time kicking the ball properly.
- Put the shoe on and stand up. When you are standing, feel where your toe is in the shoe. Your toe should be very close to the top. It should be either at the top or there should be just a very little bit of space.
- Try on a few different sizes and try moving around in them. If they feel good then they are probably a good size for you!
Tips
- Everyone like to wear their cleats a different way. While having them a close fit is ideal, it may not be right for everyone and that is okay.
- Different brands fit differently and you may be different sizes in different brands.
- Cleats are not going to fit perfectly right when you buy them. Cleats often need time to wear in. Especially certain brands. It may hurt your feet at first but just keep wearing them and it will start to mold to your foot and feel comfortable.

- Make sure the cleat is not so tight that it is hurting your foot and you are uncomfortable. Also keep in mind though that it may hurt until it is worn in. It can take anywhere from a few days to a week or two to be completely worn in.
- Make sure they are not too big. Extra space at your toe can be very bad. It is easy to kick the ground with your toe when your shoes are too big. This can also lead to injuries.
