Too late to go back to school?

A person wrote to me: “Several years ago, I went to college and study Business Administration but quit to follow my dream of starting a company. I did not distinguish between a small business and a technology startup until reading your blog. I have exhausted my parents’ money in the failed company. I felt very bad and would like to go back to school to learn a career that I can pay them back. I am not sure whether it is too late to go back to school or not. Is it possible for someone who is almost thirty years old to study Information technology?

Answer: It NEVER too late to go back to school to learn. I had many “Adult” students in my class, many have worked in the industry for years but decide to go back to school to learn new skills. Most of these “Older” students work harder than young students because they are more mature and know what they want in life. I do encourage you to return to school to develop a new career so you can pay off your parent’s debt.

Today, Information Technology (IT) is the fastest growing field in the job market with a high demand and low supply. A degree in this field can lead to many good careers such as Computer programming, Software development, Information security, Web development, Mobile apps development; Data administration, Data science specialist, etc. Technology has become an indispensable part of every society. It is integrated into the everyday lives of people all over the world and the demand is still increasing. I cannot think of another career better than Information technology at this time.
