Uninstall Python

Maybe you downloaded and installed a new version of python and you need to uninstall your previous version. This is just the tutorial for you.

Steps

Windows Repair and Remove

  1. Open the installation file of your previous version, it must be a .msi file.
  2. When the window opens, two options will be displayed: "Repair" and "Remove".
  3. Select "Remove" and click "Finish".

Windows Control Panel

  1. Go to the control panel.
  2. Click "Add or remove programs" in Windows XP and "Program & Features" in Vista and Windows 7/8.
  3. Select the Python version from the installed program list and click "Uninstall."



Warnings

  • For the first way, the installation file of your previous version is needed, and it must be a .msi file.

To check this, go to Tools>Folder Options...>View Uncheck hide extension for known file types, click Apply, then Ok, now open the folder where your installation file is, it should now show the extension e.g Python-3.2.2.msi (Windows Installer Package).
