Use an Avocado for Beauty Care

Using an avocado for your skin or hair is an excellent idea. It contains vitamins A, E, and even C all in one to help your skin and hair feel nourished and stronger.

Ingredients

Avocado and honey skin treatment:

  • 1/2 peeled avocado
  • Couple tablespoons of honey
  • 1 tablespoon of brown sugar
  • Lemon juice if you have oily skin

Avocado, butter and eggs hair treatment:

  • 1 tablespoon butter (unsalted), room temperature
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 avocado

Steps

Avocado and honey skin treatment

  1. Get your ingredients together.
  2. Make sure to rinse your face with warm water first, to open pores in your skin.
  3. Start mashing the avocado and mixing it with the two ingredients listed above.
  4. Apply gently to your skin by smoothly rubbing it into your skin (not too hard) until your face and a bit of your neck it covered. Leave on for 15 min for a good facial mask.
  5. Rinse off gently, and pat with a towel. Now just look at that glowing face!

Avocado, butter and eggs hair treatment

  1. Combine the unsalted butter and egg yolks. Mix together well.
  2. Mash the avocado.
  3. Add the mashed avocado to the butter and egg yolks. Mix together well to combine.
  4. Wash your hair.
  5. Put the mixture on your hair and scalp. Pop on a shower cap to cover and leave on for 1-2 hours.
  6. Rinse out thoroughly. Condition only if you feel you need to. Your hair will feel better and has been nourished by the ingredients.

Tips

  • You might want to tie your hair or use a headband so your hair won't get in the way.
  • The skin of the avocado is also very useful. When you peel the avocado, you can use the inside of the skin as a moisturizer.
  • The avocado peel, or fruit mash if used everyday to clean the face can also act as a sunscreen.

Warnings

  • Try not to get the mixtures in your eye. If a mixture does, then rinse well with water.
  • If you rub the sugar too hard on your skin, it can damage your skin cells, leaving your skin very thin.
  • Make sure you are not allergic to avocados, lemons, or any of the listed ingredients before you start.
