Using iOS 7 and 8
- Open Safari on two different devices. Both devices must be signed in to the same iCloud account.
- Visit websites on each device. You can open tabs on one device that are currently open on another.
- Tap the "Tabs" button on one of your devices. This is located in the lower-right corner, and looks like two overlaid squares.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the list of tabs. You will see a list of your iCloud tabs that are open on your other device.
- Select the tab you want to open.
Using iOS 6
- Start by opening some websites in Safari on one of your devices that syncs with iCloud.
- Now move to another iCloud-connected device and launch Safari. Here we are launching the Safari app on an iPad.
- Tap the iCloud Tabs button (the cloud symbol between the Bookmarks and Share button) at the top of the Safari interface.
- A list of pages that are open on your other iCloud devices is shown. Tap on one of the sites listed.
- The page is loaded in your device’s browser.
Tips
- If you have problems with iCloud Tabs, make sure that the Safari setting is switched to On in the Settings app under the iCloud section.
- Sometimes it can take a little time for iCloud Tabs lists to update. Try quitting Safari and launching it again to speed things up.
Warnings
- Make sure you don’t use iCloud Tabs on shared computers and devices. If you do you may risk sharing personal information or bank details with others who have access to a linked computer or device.
