Wash Clip in Hair Extensions
Washing hair extensions can be tricky but follow these steps to do it right.
Steps
- Get the extensions and back comb all the hair before washing. If you don't they will get more tangled.
- Fill the sink or bath with some lukewarm water and wet the extension.
- Use normal shampoo and conditioner on the extensions. Don't rub in the shampoo too much because this will tangle the extension. You can also use leave-in conditioner if your hair needs it but don't apply too much because this will make your hair go flat.
- Once all of the shampoo and conditioner is off the extension, squeeze excess water out of it and brush it. Leave it to dry naturally. Do not dry it with a hair dryer because this will burn it.
- Make sure you wash the extensions about once a week.
tips
- Wash clip in hair extensions only once a week if necessary.
- Do not dry with hair dryer.
- Don't rub the shampoo in too much, this will tangle the extension.
- Make sure you brush the extension every day and before and after you wash it.
warnings
- drying and straightening the extension can burn the extension if hair is made of synthetic fibers. Read manufacturer warnings and FAQ
- NEVER brush hair extensions while they are wet. Always use a wide tooth comb or specially designed brush to detangle hair (starting at the ends and working towards the top) prior to washing and after fully dried before using/storing.
