Win in the RuneScape Duel Arena

Ever seen people with tons of cash? You've seen people at the duel arena staking party hats... and you think, "Wow, wish I could stake that much!" Well, now you can!

Steps

P2P (Paying members)

  1. Get a good account, a Be a Pure Pker in RuneScape if possible.
  2. Head over to the duel arena Al-Kharid.
  3. Advertise you are willing to stake. For example, "Staking no armour 3k." or "Staking higher levels my rules." When somebody duels you, accept the duel, and quickly look their stats up.
  4. Judge whether you think you will be able to beat them, remember to bear in mind their hit points.
  5. Put up your rules, don't let them have their way, stick to your rules!
  6. Always check the second duel screen! Once in battle, always have run and auto-retaliate on.
  7. Hopefully you will win!

F2P (Free players)

  1. Make a good account, a pure preferably
  2. Go to the Al-Kharid Duel Arena
  3. Advertise that you are staking 3k in a no armor match (you have a better chance, so your armor difference doesn't get in the way)
  4. Put up your rules, don't let them have their way, stick to your rules!
  5. Always check the second duel screen! Once in battle, always have run and auto-retaliate on.
  6. Hopefully you will win!

Tips

  • Always look your opponent up on the high-scores, even if they are a lower level than you.
  • Always check the second trade screen, especially for: melee on/off, mage on/off, range on/off, spec on/off(P2P), prayer on/off, food on/off.

  • use curse,weaken,and confuse helps a lot
  • Practice to get your special attack timing just right. (P2P)
  • Never change your rules unless you are certain you can still win.
  • Pures - Don't let a low combat level tease you into staking.
  • The more quest points you have, the more money (value) you can stake.
  • Don't give up.
  • If your prayer is high enough use the protect from Magic, Missiles or Melee. Keep in mind that other players hate this and can call you a Noob. But getting something out of winning a fight is a nice trade off.
  • (Last resort) go to RuneHQ.com or Zybez.net for duel arena guides.
  • Make sure that the other person stakes something.

Warnings

  • A little warning to pures: High strength doesn't mean you will win, a normal player with high defense and decent armor will SLAUGHTER you.
  • Be careful of scammers!
  • Melee vs. Mage. Mage tricks Melee into staking armor, say bye-bye to your armor because its gone. Only do this if you are sure you will wear dragon hide

Things You'll Need

  • Good Runescape account
  • Runes, staff and armor for mage
  • Bow and arrows, dragon hides for rangers. Darts, javelins or knives if you are a member.
  • Weapon and armor for melee
  • Cape(all cape plus some bonus )
  • Good Boots
  • Gloves(adamant gauntlets charged)
  • Small amount of food, optional for scammers
  • Potions, (optional)
  • Ring of dueling (P2P)
  • Preferably the guthix god spell. Lowering your opponent's defense helps tremendously!(P2P)
