You have finally met a girl that you really like. So, you decide to tell your friend who you have a crush on. However, it turns out that your friend has a crush on the same girl as you do. If you would like to learn what to do in this situation, please read on.

  1. First off, act like you would around any other girl.
  2. Don't wait to make your feelings known. Most guys don't realize how obvious they make it when they like a girl, and girls can usually tell.

  5. Talk to your friend and try to reach an agreement or at least lay down ground rules. Most guy friends who hang out together develop something like this naturally. If you've never had this come up, he's probably just as apprehensive about your next move as you are.
  6. Let her decide. You don't each get to grab an arm and pull to see who rips the bigger half. After a few days, if she's liking either of you it will start to become clearer.

  • Talk to them both as friends. Instead of fighting over her, you can all just be close friends with her.
  • Most girls have friends so in the long run it will pay off to be at least agreeable.

Warnings

  • This will be a good time to see how good of a friend you have. If he starts trying to make you look bad or says things to her that aren't true, you'd be better off leaving him behind.
  • You need to be prepared to deal with your friend getting the girl and seeing them together over the next few months at least. If he gets a girlfriend and stops hanging out with you, consider yourself lucky to know he's like that and move on.
