Allow Comments on a Tumblr Blog
On Tumblr, you can ask people questions and reply to their posts if you have Missing e or X kit... but how do you let people add comments on your blog? By registering with the third-party service Disqus, you can easily allow comments on your tumblelog. This article will walk you through the process of using Disqus to add the commenting feature to your blog.

Steps
- Register at Disqus.com. Enter all the information the site asks for, including your Tumblr URL, the name of your blog, a shortname and a username for Disqus, a password, and your email address.
- Select "Tumblr" from the install options on the page.
- Follow the instructions on the Disqus page. Make sure you're logged in to the correct Tumblr before you put in your Disqus shortname!
- You're done! Save and open up your blog in a new window--it should say "0 Comments" underneath all your posts. You and all your followers can click on this text to comment on your blog using Disqus.
Tips
- You can also add the Disqus commenting feature to other blogging and web services such as Blogger, Joomla, and Wordpress.
Warnings
- Most Disqus comment settings and preferences have to be managed from your account on the Disqus website and not directly on Tumblr.
