Be a Summer Teen

Summer is the ultimate time to be a teen. What teen doesn't like hanging out, swimming, and listening to music?

Steps

  1. Get in shape. Run for a few minutes every day or go to local pool and swim laps. Summer can be more enjoyable if you feel comfortable with your body and can be active without getting exhausted.
  2. Find your summer look. Summer is a great time to experiment with new hairstyles or types of clothes. Hit the mall or look online. Try new trends and see how they look. If you like it, buy it!
  3. Have lazy days and crazy nights. Find things to do and keep busy! The weather will be nice and it's just not the time to stay in all day, you had the school year to do that! Everyday is a Saturday. Go to the local pool, start a new sport, visit a museum-whatever floats your boat!
  4. Crank up the tunes! Try some new music that you've never really given a chance, or stick to what you like or maybe even try to find a new artist that stands for how you feel. Listen to the radio for new songs.
  5. Watch movies. A lot of big blockbuster hits come out in the summer, on DVD and in theaters. Go to the movie theater, root through your old collections, go through your parents collections, or search through a movie store! Who knows; you might find your next favorite movie!
  6. Go on an adventure. Even if you can't drive and your parents aren't planning a trip, try to do something new. Climb a tree in your backyard, visit a museum you've never been to before or try a new hobby.

Tips

  • Try not to get on the internet ever during the summer. Soon you'll be spending hours on it and before you know it, your summer will disappear.
  • Make tons of music videos and have fun with friends.

Warnings

  • Don't completely ignore your family, they deserve some time with you too.
  • Don't be stupid or get too intimate if you have a summer fling. Chances are, you won't stay together once the summer's over, so they're probably not "the one".
  • Wear sunscreen! Don't get burned. Each sunburn is a greater risk of skin cancer. Remember: there is no such thing as a safe tan, even if you are wearing sunscreen. Is it worth the risk?
