Cheerleading coaching can be done as a hobby or as a job

Steps

  1. The Governing body of British Cheerleading is: British Cheerleading Association (BCA) http://www.cheerleading.org.uk/# who offer training
  2. If you do your cheer coach qualifications through the BCA then you will need to complete NCSSE . Then depending on what level you would like to coach (level-6 with level 6 being the advanced cheerleading) you will need ISASF/USASF's.
  3. If you decide to do your cheerleading coaching courses through the UKCA (United Kingdom Cheerleading Association)then you can do a course called 'leadership awards', 'basic stunts' 'basic skillsintermediates stunts' 'intermediate skills' and they also offer tumbling courses.
  4. Or you can do your cheerleading coaching courses with Future cheer.
  5. Next you will need a CRB

  • insurance and a CRB and even becoming certified in first aid are necessary for being a cheerleading coach to ensure safety
